Project Brief

Rivian is an American electric vehicle manufacturer, known for its first vehicle - the R1T, a 4x4 outdoor adventure truck. The company recently shot a commercial in Colorado to showcase the vehicle, but due to scheduling conflicts, the original agency can no longer finalize the video. The client is seeking help from you or your agency to complete the video and align it with the existing branding and marketing campaign.

The video production is nearly complete, but still requires intro and outro title cards, lower thirds, and potentially brand animation overlays. The client wants the video to reflect the crossover between outdoors and technology that the Rivian brand represents, and is open to new ideas and concepts.

The finished video will be used in a few ways. Firstly, it will run as a targeted YouTube video ad for searches related to electric outdoor vehicles. Secondly, it may be used to promote the beginning of a speaking engagement at a technology conference focused on lithium-enabled battery technology. The client has requested that the same video be used for both instances. Additionally, the client has expressed an interest in placing the video on a landing page, potentially as a landing link from the ad.

Video Graphic Tips
  • Use graphics to enhance the story: Graphics should be used to enhance the story and message of the video, rather than being added for their own sake.
  • Keep the style and color consistent to maintain a cohesive visual identity. Use the same fonts and colors throughout the video to make it easier for the viewer to follow and understand.
  • Ensure that the graphics are easily legible against the background of the video, particularly if they are being placed over live-action footage. Use high-contrast colors and test the legibility of the graphics on different devices to ensure they can be easily read.
